Internships

Real-world experience is not just important to employers – it’s expected.

Honors research and practicum internships are mentored educational experiences where you will have the opportunity to:

  • Work on real-world problems and earn 3 honors credits.
  • Actively participate in research or work that is beyond the traditional classroom experience.
  • Collaborate with faculty, graduate students and technical staff.
  • Become part of the process of discovering and using new information and technologies.
  • Collaborate with peers on innovative problem-solving methods.

Internship Awards

You come across professional experiences that will benefit your career but may not be a paid opportunity. The Honors College internship grants enable you to take advantage of such opportunities, relieving some of the financial stress. Funding is available for students participating in internships both domestically and abroad.

Awards are merit-based, taking into account GPA, application quality and the importance of the experience for student’s academic and professional goals.
The maximum award is $1,500 depending on student’s anticipated need and funds available. More information and application instructions are available in Scholarship Universe, the university’s scholarship database. You must be admitted to the university in order to access Scholarship Universe.
