Outside of Honors Village

We are writing to follow up on President Robbins' message sent to all students, staff, and faculty on Wednesday, 11 March. The Honors College and our larger University community are following the rapidly evolving circumstances surrounding the pandemic with our foremost concerns your health, safety, and education.

Many questions have arisen about returning to campus and resuming spring semester classes. We are following the lead of the Provost's and President's Offices on policy and decisions, and as necessary, making decisions within the Honors College. Please watch for updates with future emails. Know that we are here as a resource for you and will do everything we can to support you in these times.

Our Honors College advising team is here to answer questions and support your academic success. Advisors in the Honors College can be reached by email and phone, and continue to be available to help.

You will likely be hearing from your professors as they prepare to switch your course over to an online platform, but you should consider contacting them to learn about the online plans for the remainder of the semester. As needed, you should feel empowered to request accommodations from your professor as the delivery of classes changes. Online plans might make it possible for some students to attend and complete their semester's work remotely. Familiarize yourselves with ZOOM or other platforms that your professor may choose for your class.

The University website on COVID-19 is a useful resource, including information of keeping yourself and others healthy.  We are concerned for you health and well-being and will support you in every way we can.

Sincerely,
Terry L. Hunt
