Olivia comes from a diverse background. She was born and raised in Germany to classical musician parents and spent most of her adult-life traversing the world. One of her biggest personal achievements is ascending Mt. Kilimanjaro and a year later marrying her guide in Zanzibar. Today, they share a home in Tucson with their daughter Amelia Jane.
With a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration focusing on International Business Management and a minor in Political Science and Languages, Olivia started her career in event planning. She worked on high-profile events in New York City such as the James Beard Foundation Awards and the New York Wine and Food Festival. Eventually, she utilized her skills and transitioned into the hospitality industry, where she lived and worked on a cruise ship for several years planning on-board events. Prior to joining the Honors College she worked as a Banquet Manager at luxury resorts in Tucson.
Olivia currently spends her time at work recruiting future diverse students, advising the Honors College Ambassadors, and organize milestone events for the Honors College.
