When

3 to 6 p.m., April 25, 2024

Taylor Raney is a first-year Franke Honors student majoring in Physiology & Medical Sciences and Molecular & Cellular Biology, with hopes to pursue a career in clinical genetics. While she is deeply passionate about all things science, she also has a love for art! Enrolling in poetry and creative writing classes at the University of Arizona and W.A. Franke Honors College further instilled an interest in Taylor to use language as an art form. Through her Quest Project, funded by an Exploratory Mini-grant and supported by mentorship from Franke Honors Professor Claire McLane, Taylor created an art exhibition and developed an art workshop curriculum to teach at Tucson middle schools.

Her solo exhibition, titled Beyond Words: Conversations about Mental Illness Through Poetry and Collage , will feature findings about mental health and illness through a lens of poetry and collage art.

Her work will be on display on the first floor of the Honors Village, in the lobby outside of the Honors Village Offices.
